Don't Piss off the Homos!

WHAT JUDGE JRU LEARNED ABOUT AMERICA BY WATCHING THE SEVENTH ELIMINATION EPISODE OF THE IDOL 5

America hates big, sassy African-American Gospel singers that endorse religious homo haters.

Bye Mandisa!

We would have missed you, but then a thing happened...and now we won't.

THE TWO THAT BETTER SHAPE UP NEXT WEEK
(aka: the other 2 in the bottom 3)

Paris. Elliott.

Careful!

Mandisa, lost not only because she stunk it up the last two weeks, but her comments about people’s lifestyles really struck a nerve with some folks. As a Black, female, morbidly obese woman, she should show more tolerance towards those who are different. When you get on a show as popular as AI and starting pulling out your “Jesus” card, you have to expect it will turn many people off. If she’s so concerned about being a Christian, then perhaps she should remember that Gluttony is a sin too. So long Mandisa, Perhaps next time you’ll let your GOD do the judging.

Gosh, I hope Kellie Pickler goes next... that way during the concert tour, if they showcase people in order of their elimination, then I get an extra long potty break during Mandisa and Kellie's set! Woo hoo... always looking at the positive side of things...

Too bad Mandisa... us gays have a very strong voting block. Don't expect club remixes of your damn album, homophobe!

From TV Guide Online:

WEIGHTY MATTERS: On Thursday, newly ousted American Idol wannabe Mandisa tried to explain what she said last week prior to singing Mary Mary's "Wanna Praise You." Having dedicated the tune "to everybody that wants to be free! Your addiction, your lifestyle or situation may be big, but God is bigger," the singer was accused of making a homophobic dig. "I just heard about that," Mandisa tells TVGuide.com, "and it broke my heart because I really do try to live my life according to the value system that you treat others the way you want to be treated. I absolutely hate nobody." As for what she meant by "lifestyle," she answered, "I've given in to every food indulgence I have ever had, so that was just me saying that God is freeing me of [that particular lifestyle]."

(Too bad she didn't get to say that before everyone assumed she meant something else.)

RE: the TV Guide thing.

I feel bad that Mandisa didn't get to tell her side until it was too late, but here is the thing...

She still endorsed a homo-hating minister on her official Idol profile. And THAT is something that I just cannot condone.

As Simon usually has to point out, this is a singing contest not a who loves gays more contest. Not once did Mandisa say anything about hating gays or that she was homophobic. She'll get a record deal anyway with or without the gay vote.

And she's still gonna make a ton more money than those bitter "homos". Sucks for them, huh?
